Bear Films is the Daddy of all hairy bear sites. It's been around for a few years and provides the hairy man / bear lover with the widest variety of men – scruffy, long-bearded motorcycle men, buff and hairy muscle men, big bellied bears, cute cubs, and grey-haired polar bears. Bear Films has something for everyone – and they have a lot of it! The site is not just a gay bear porn site; it's a community portal. Bear Films keeps its homepage updated with bear events worldwide – when they're happening, and then, follow-up pictures of the actual event. So Bear Films is a great way to keep updated with the overall bear community. On the naked man side of things, Bear Films offers model galleries, action pictures, and video clips. As well, they have a selection of stories written by other members. And they have a store also where you can purchase their DVDs, calendars, and t-shirts. - Overall Bear Films is pretty easy to navigate. Everything is right up top in a clean navigation bar. I did have to hunt a bit for a "JOIN" button because (1) it's not on the navigation bar and (2) it's an olive-green colour on a grey background, so it doesn't really stand out. The site's design is quite pleasant: Varying shades of grey and black on a grey background with yellow text. And it's three-column design makes it fairly easy to find everything. The site is well organized and modular – every section is contained in a box with a border and a header – it's dead easy to stay focused.
Once inside the member's area, it's pretty straight forward. You can check out the Action Pictures, Model Photos or Video Clips. It's handy having everything neatly packaged so you can go after exactly what you're hunting for. The newest photos or videos are thumbnailed in the center of the page, but they also spotlight three past models down the left side. These change very time you refresh the page, so it's a nice way to check out some of the past hot Bear Films men. And you can also search for your favourite man by his name or nickname.

- I really like that Bear Films lets the surfer have free access to all of the event pictures. It gives you a nice feeling for the event and the kinds of men that attended. Certainly a great way to promote the events and encourage men to get out to the next one.
In the galleries themselves, Bear Films doesn't skimp on the pictures. They have over 300 models There are a lot of pictures for each guy. And they have a cool sorting device that lets you categorize all of the men into four groupings: All the Men, Bears, Cubs, and Daddies. This makes the hunt so much easier. And the men's names are also listed alphabetically down the left side of the page. So it's virtually impossible not to find either a specific guy or your type of man. And you can e-mail any of the guys who appear on the site. You don't actually get their e-mail address, but your message is routed to the guy through the Bear Films system. What a cool idea!
In the video clip section you can sort the clips into Windows Media Player only, QuickTime only, or both. They have over 100 video clips!
Finally, the Bear Films website has one of the best tech help sections I've ever seen on a porn site. And of course if you're still having trouble playing video clips, you can always contact the site. And boy are they fast. I sent a test e-mail through on a Saturday morning at 6:21 a.m. their time on a holiday weekend, and I got a reply back within three hours! That's amazing. You can't ask for better service than that. - Negatives
- I wish the video clips were larger. At 240 x 320 pixels, they just leave me wanting more. And some of the clips are a bit over optimized. Clearer and bigger videos would get Bear Films full marks for content because this is exclusive to them and you're not going to find it anywhere else. The good news is that Bear Films has a complete line of DVDs and members get a 20% discount.
Not all of the models in the picture galleries have video clips and that's a little frustrating because many of them are extremely hot and you want to see them in action. Oh well, always leaving them wanting more, as they say.
If you're using Firefox, you may have some trouble watching WIndows Media Player video clips. I had no problems with the QuickTime clips, and I had no problems with WMV when using Internet Explorer. And I think this is more a Microsoft problem than a Bear Films one – Microsoft products just don't seem to work so well with competitor's products. - The Last Word
- Bear Films is a hot site and it's going to keep you busy for a long time. Their weekly updates of video and picture galleries will keep you stocked in fresh content. (Check out their Fantasy Bear section where they dress hairy men up as baseball players, executives, fire men, football players, police men, and sailors – Woof!) And Bear Films has such a variety of men on their sites. There's virtually something for everyone. And I really like that they're not preaching about what a bear should be. I don't like it when bear groups or bars start telling you what you need to look like or how you need to dress.
In fact, one of my favourite men on the site is a guy who isn't particularly bearish at all. Iceland Jorge is a younger Spanish cub, who is not particularly stocky or hairy, although he has the makings of a good bear and is sure to fill out in his thirties, but he's got an adorable face and really hot facial hair and a very fuckable ass.
But at the same time, you're going to find a lot of big bears. Hairy men with big bellies. In fact, a random sampling shows that the average weight of a Bear Films man is 225 pounds – and the site has over 34 tons of men. So whether you're into older men or young cubs, muscle bears or big bears, clean-cut executives or scruffy motorcycle riders, leather or gym wear, you're going to find it all here. Bear Films is the grand daddy of all bear sites. There really just isn't any other bear porn site on the Web that compares with Bear Films. Shooting all of their own content, this production company not only runs a website, but releases a half dozen or so DVDs every year. And when they say "bears" they mean it. You're not going to find more big-bellied hairy bears, bear cubs, daddies, and hairy men anywhere else on the Web.
